Director's Biography
Abe is a brilliant comedy performance director and his background as an actor certainly helps. By age 20 he had already written, directed and starred in his first feature “Ned” which was released theatrically in Australia and in 2004 he won a Best Actor AFI for “Marking Time”. He has directed numerous films including “Shock” (the 2010 Tropfest winner) and “Being Carl Williams” (2009 Best Comedy at Tropfest). When we observed him directing the 2nd series of “Laid” (ABC 1), we could see he was one of the top comedy directors in the country. Abe has directed campaigns for Telstra, Master Card and the FFA while establishing strong relationships with agencies such as BMF and DDB.
